Learn More About Lab651...
What's a typical starting point with a new customer?

As always, our first consideration is “what’s best for our customer?” As our team is 100% located here in the Twin Cites, we meet face-to-face with customers at our office and discuss your goals in the short, medium, and long term, and define how how we can execute to bring your vision to a reality. In addition to engineering resources, we have highly skilled product managers, voice of customer (VOC) consultants, and access to packaging and marketing resources to help you not only build your product, but reach the widest market possible.

Do I need to know what kind of technology I need before I contact you?

Absolutely not! We strive to provide solutions that strip away the need to understand specific technologies. Our focus is to build you a product that is functional, easy to use, and provides value for your end-user. We are more than happy to give you a deep dive into the technology and how it works. But the vast majority of our clients are interested in guiding us on “what” the product will do, so we can handle the “how” to do it.

How did Lab651 get started?

As technology has been evolving over the years, a trend that you might have heard of called the “Internet of Things” has started to take root. This is the concept of ordinary, everyday objects becoming more intelligent and connected to the Internet. This can span everything from a device in your home, to a factory, to something implanted in our bodies. Our two founders -- Justin and Troy -- each had their own companies of highly experienced engineers in mobile apps and data science, embedded systems, and product design, respectively. After working together on a number of projects, it made sense to create one company that had all these skills to help our customers iterate and build solutions quickly.

Learn More About Our Founders...
What types of customers do you work with?

Lab651 works with a diverse set of clients. Everything from startups who have brilliant ideas and an initial stage of investment to bring their product to market, to Fortune 100 companies who are looking to Lab651 to provide them with a group of highly experienced engineers to build innovative products quickly and less expensively than if they engaged their own resources. We find the largest value for our clients comes when we can build and test early prototypes with their customers, and help to learn and guide them on what it means to build a connected product.
